Overview
The Atlas Reclining Barber Chair is designed around the shave. Its tall back and padded adjustable headrest support the client at a full recline, and the side lever lets the barber move between upright and laid-back positions in one motion. Rich cognac brown upholstery and brushed stainless steel give it a warm, upscale look that sits well against wood and brass interiors. It is built in our own Foshan factory and shipped factory-direct, which keeps quality checks and packing under one roof.
Recline mechanism and build
The recline system uses a steel linkage with several locking positions, so the back holds firm during a straight-razor shave. A hydraulic pump typically rated to 500 lb handles lift, with a 360-degree swivel and lock. The arms and frame are brushed stainless steel, which hides fingerprints better than polished chrome and holds up well to daily cleaning. As a reclining barber chair, it balances on a round brushed steel base sized to resist tipping at full recline.
Comfort for longer services
High-density foam in the seat and back keeps its shape through years of use. The headrest moves in height and angle and can be removed. A chrome footrest gives clients firm support at every angle, which matters during hot-towel services that run 30 minutes or more.
Cleaning and care
Wipe upholstery with a vinyl-safe disinfectant after each client. Brushed stainless cleans with a damp cloth wiped in the direction of the grain. Check the recline lever pivot every few months and clear away any hair build-up.
A fully reclined chair needs about 6.5 to 7 feet from mirror to walkway, so check your floor plan before ordering a full row. The table compares the Atlas with a standard upright working chair.

Questions buyers ask
How far does the Atlas recline?
The back reclines through several locked positions down to a near-flat shave angle, and it holds firmly in each one. At full recline the chair is approximately 68 inches long, so allow 6.5 to 7 feet from the mirror wall to the walkway behind the chair when planning your layout.
Is brushed stainless better than chrome?
For daily shop use it is easier to keep looking clean, because the brushed grain hides fingerprints and light scratches. Polished chrome gives a brighter, more classic look but shows marks more quickly. Both resist corrosion with normal cleaning, so the choice mostly comes down to the style of your shop.
Can the reclining barber chair be used for facials?
Yes. The near-flat recline and adjustable headrest make it comfortable for quick facials, hot towels and beard masks, which many barbershops now sell as add-on services. For full esthetics treatments that last an hour or more, a dedicated facial bed offers more length, leg support and adjustable sections.
What should I check when the chairs arrive?
Inspect each carton before signing for the LTL delivery and note visible damage on the receipt. Then unpack, attach the base and footrest as instructed, and test lift, swivel lock and every recline position before the chair goes into service.
