Volt Electric Recline Barber Chair

The Volt is an electric barber chair for shops that want push-button lift and recline instead of a pump pedal. It has charcoal gray leather-look upholstery, a matte black steel frame, integrated side controls and a wide square base, and is built for 110–120V/60Hz. Each chair is made to order in our Foshan factory for US barbershops.

Overview

The Volt Electric Recline Barber Chair replaces the foot pump with quiet electric motors for seat lift and back recline. The barber controls both from integrated side buttons, which leaves both hands on the tools and removes the repeated pedal pumping that adds up over a long shift. The charcoal gray upholstery and matte black frame suit modern shops with a darker palette. As a factory-direct manufacturer, we build each order in our Foshan factory to the colors and finishes you approve.

Electric lift and recline

Two motors handle the main movements: one raises and lowers the seat, and the other reclines the back to a shave position. The chair is built for 110–120V/60Hz US power and plugs into a standard outlet; listing status (UL/ETL) is confirmed per model in the quotation. An electric barber chair also makes it easier to lower the seat for clients who have trouble stepping up.

Ergonomics and comfort

Seat height typically ranges from about 19 to 30 inches, which is a wider range than most hydraulic chairs and helps both short and tall barbers. The padded headrest adjusts in height and angle, and the black footrest with steel plate supports the client at every recline position. The wide square base spreads the load and resists tipping when the back is fully reclined.

Maintenance

Wipe the upholstery with a vinyl-safe disinfectant and keep liquids away from the side control panel. Check the power cord for wear and route it so it is not rolled over by stools or trolleys. Motors are sealed and need no routine lubrication.

Plan an outlet within reach of each chair position, ideally floor or low-wall mounted behind the station. The comparison below shows when an electric barber chair is worth it compared with a hydraulic model.

Questions buyers ask

Is the electric barber chair UL or ETL listed?

The Volt is built for 110–120V/60Hz US power. Listing status (UL/ETL) is confirmed per model in the quotation, so ask for it when you request pricing, especially if your local inspector or landlord requires a listed product for fixed equipment.

What happens if the power goes out?

The chair stays in its current position. The motors hold the seat and back where they are until power returns, so a client can still step out safely and the barber can finish a cut by adjusting their own stance. For shops in areas with frequent outages, a hydraulic chair is the simpler choice.

Does it need a dedicated circuit?

Normally it plugs into a standard 110–120V outlet near the station. If you are installing several electric chairs plus blow dryers, clippers and lighting on one circuit, have a licensed electrician check the total load during your build-out and add circuits where needed so breakers do not trip mid-service.

Can I mix electric and hydraulic chairs in one order?

Yes. Mixed-model orders start from 5 pieces in total, so you can combine Volt electric chairs with hydraulic models such as the Forge in one shipment. Upholstery color can be matched across both models, which keeps the floor looking consistent while you put electric chairs only where they add the most value.
